Haumaru Tāngata Māori Health and Safety framework
The GHSL had the pleasure of hosting Moira Loach and Gerard Jull from Te Rōpū Marutatu o Aotearoa, the Māori Health & Safety Association. They presented to our combined Heads of Health and Safety group about the Haumaru Tāngata (Māori Health & Safety) Framework, which was a great opportunity for everyone to learn about its origins and significance for both Māori and non-Māori. We have started a discussion on how we can start using the framework to identify how we are already including Te Ao Māori in our H&S systems, and identify areas where we can continue to improve. In June, the core agency leads received a physical copy of the booklet, and now it’s available in a digital format too.
